This year's seminar was held February 13-15, 2014 in Ottawa.  Thirty students from six provinces participated.  Sessions included:

  • an introduction to MCC's Ottawa Office and its witness of political advocacy,
  • sessions on Indigenous rights with MCC partners and others,
  • a case study examination of the Stoney Knoll, Saskatchewan story and the reconciliation and advocacy resulting from it,
  • the "blanket exercise" -- an experiential way of learning the history most Canadians do not know,
  • presentations by two Members of Parliament,
  • a tour of the Parliament Buildings and attendance at Question Period.
